This Tuesday, AMD have announced their new faster Athlon II processor set. This speed improvement is possible by stepping up its server parts clock speed so that the price and power consumption didn’t have to change.

This new faster processor set of Athlon II have X4 640 at 3.0GHz clock speed with 95 watt power consumption as their top processor in the line with the price of $122. CRN Test Center did an Athlon II X4 640 benchmark test and the result stated that this new AMD processor are slightly behind their Intel Quad Core processor competitior.

AMD also launched their new Quad Core X4 610e that is a 45 watt version of X4 640. AMD 610e have 2.4GHz clock speed and sold at $143.  AMD Tri-Core processor line also have two addition, the AMD Athlon II X3 445 that run on 3.1 GHz and 95 watt with the price of $87 and AMD X3 415e with 2.5 GHz speed and 45 watt with the price of $102.

In the AMD Dual Core group, we welcome the 3.2GHz Athlon II X2 260 and 2.9GHz X2 245e that will hit the market with the price around $77.

This new models of AMD processor said to work well in their 800-series chipsets motherboards. Owners of motherboard with 785GX chipset can still use this models. This is some list of motherboards that supports this new processor: Asus M4A89GTD-Pro, Gigabyte 890GPA-UD3H and MSI’s 890FXA-GD70 and 890GX-GD65 models. Asus M4A89GTD-Pro, Gigabyte 890GPA-UD3H and MSI’s 890FXA-GD70 and 890GX-GD65 models Asus M4A785TD-M EVO, Gigabyte GA-MA785PGMT-UD2H and MSI 785GM-E65 motherboards.

All the new Athlon II processors are compatible with the AM3 and AM2+ 938-pin socket. The company also announced price cuts on some its other parts, including the Athlon II X4 635, which now becomes AMD’s sub-$100 quad-core

Even though netbooks were often rated to have slow performance with lousy keyboard by laptop or desktop fanatics, their sales were really hot whenever there was an exhibition in my area. No Multitasking in iPad
With iPad’s 9.7 inch touch screen and its price, people might wanting a feature that compete with what netbook have, especially in the multitasking capability area. And yeah, we know that iPad was not intended to be a netbook. However, without this multitasking ability, it was such a disapointing weakness that an iPad user have to face. iPad was known to be not so ‘agile’ too when we move from one application to another.

No Adobe Flash in iPad
Alright, we have an iPad with 3G and/or WiFi support that can deliver the internet in our hands through Safari Browser. But unfortunately, iPad doesn’t have any Adobe Flash support and that will decrease your good experience when you wanted to play a video in the internet

No Camera and No iChat in iPad
I don’t really know about why this weakness can reside in this tablet gadget. The idea of bringing iPhone and a laptop capability in an iPad is frequently heard, but no cams and no iChat? oh come on, please be serious

Wow.. iPad got a few weakness that really decreasing my desire to have them. I know that some people also consider the lack of handwriting recognition and HDMI port in iPad. For a WiFi version iPad, it would be $499 for the 16GB edition while the 32GB edition will cost you $599, and $699 for the 664GB. the 3G iPad is bundled with AT&T and sold with the price $829 for the 32GB. Even when the spesification of iPad seems hot, there are people who were disapointed with their incapability of handling multitask systems. But wheter the price will make it drop or pop, we can only see it on the market report.

If you’re looking forward into Acer netbooks running in Google Chrome OS, then their plan to release the chrome os netbook in 2010′s third quarter will be good news for you. In last year’s 4th quarter, Acer have been the no. 2 in the PC market, and in 2010 they plan to overtake Hewlett Packard. Acer even predicts that 4/5 of their netbook sales will feature the Chrome OS, Acer really loves Chrome didn’t they

When I first bough my current cellphone, the Sony Ericsson W800 4 years ago, I thought that finally I can get my hands on the internet enabled phone even though it was only in a WAP Browser. AMD is bringing a good news for the AMD CPU lovers community recently. The news is, they introduce a new quad core processors that priced only $99. Yup, your eyes don’t deceives you, it’s only $99 for an AMD Quad-Core processors. Magnificent isn’t it?

This new cheap quad core processors seems released due to the coming of Windows 7 OS that would stimulate the computer market to buy a new platform, will it be desktop or laptops, even netbooks is having a chance to change probably. Whatever the reason AMD has, as a computer users, I really glad to hear a cheap quad core processor coming into the market. Since it is the first time that they released a quad-core processor this cheap.

The new AMD quad core processor, named AMD Athlon II X4 was $50 cheaper than Intel Core 2 Quad 8200. Eventhough this Athlon II X4 is not going to be as fast as their Phenom series, but the price is still tempting, especially for those who used to only Athlon X2 before and trying to expand their processor working capacity with the new chipsets and operating systems that have better supports for multi-core processors.
